'The few vestiges of Tramacastiel Castle are located in a set of rocks that dominate the population. This castle is probably Muslim foundation, although we have no details of its history in this period They do have their existence in 1187, when it was given to the Order of Alfambra under Alfonso II. After the union of this order with that of the Temple, he became dependent on Villel's entrusting. A short time later he passed into private hands because in 1200 he was from the Ruiz de Castelblanque and later from the Fernández de Heredia, lords of Mora. In 1329 he was his lord Sancho de Tobia and in 1610 it was owned by the Count of Fuentes.
Among its ruins are the remains of a rectangular tower with masonry work that was part of the upper enclosure, with measures approximately 7 by 9 meters on the side and very low in height. Around it are vestiges of the enclosure that protected it. There is another smaller tower and also quadrangular, which is perched on the top of a high rock. The whole set is masonry, very uneven and joined with mortar.'
